What will I need to Haul My Paintball Gear?

Most of us don't pay much attention to how we transport our Paintball gear, aside from the vehicle we take to the local Paintball park. Unfortunately, the most important piece of gear, is not the gear, but the items we use to store our gear in. I call "it" an item because all of us have so many different items we use to store our gear in. I've seen people 'drag' their gear around in a suitcase, briefcase, duffle bag...you name it. Instead of . carrying your gear around in something designed to hold your notebook, I suggest you try one of these alternatives.

1.Look into a gear bag from Scott USA or JT Paintball. These are great gear bags for your goggles, tools, paintguns, C02 tanks, and shoes. There are also several sizes and models to choose from depending on what you plan to haul. The Scott or JT bags usually only require a small additional investment of a gun sleeve (available from your local gun store or from Bagmawer). The total cost for one of these gear bags should be under $100 (not bad considering most professionals pay around $300 for their gear bags).

2.Check around for a Bagmaster 9-pocket tournament gear bag. Don't wait around too long since they may soon be unavailable. The Bagmaster offers a sturdy sewing design with adequate pocket space for C02 tanks, shoes, goggles, and paintguns. The cost should be somewhere around $130.00.

3.Smart Parts has just introduced an affordable gear bag for about $100. It will hold everything you'll need for a day at the paintball field.

4.If cost is not a factor, look into the Unique Pro Gear line of tournament gear bags. Their top-of-the-line bag retails for around $300.00. Their sewing is superb and they offer enough space to store your paintball gear and an extra alternate's gear (should your 10th player refuse to carry your water for you...ha, ha) or two.

5.Don't forget to invest in a goggle bag from Nasty Boyz, Battle Boy, or JT. I've seen $80.00 goggles destroyed because they weren't stored properly.

6.Battle Boy also make barrel bags which are a great investment since most of us have two or three different barrels.

7.Don't forget to also buy yourself a tool box of some kind, since most of us know our paintguns are not 100% (mine is about 99%).

Remember, the money you spend now will save you more in the future.

Catch you next month,

Oh
