Tippmann Prolite
Tips
One of the most durable mid-range priced semi-autos on the
mark et
today is the Tippmann Pro-Lite. Along with one of the best customer service
companies behind it (just call Don Perez and he will give you the shirt off
his back), the Tippmann Pro-Lite is reliable and easy to adjust and customize.
Here are some quick tips for the Pro-Lite owners throughout the world.
1. Invest in an after-market barrel. This will help you achieve that all
important "accuracy" which will allow you to be one step ahead of your friends
(what we all really want out of life..ha ha). My favorite Pro-Lite barrels
are the J&J Hard Chrome, Smart Parts, and Armson barrels. Aside from
improving your gun's accuracy, the J & J barrels allow the player to
continue to play through a broken ball (we all break paint no matter what
anyone says). If you want a barrel that is quiet and you are willing to deal
with the paint in the hole routine, then look at the Smart Parts or the J&J
twist drill barrel. For internally rifled barrels, Armson are the best by
far. Finally, if stainless steel hits your fancy, call Marker Products or
Rick at SUMO and they will send you one of the best stainless barrels around
for your Pro-Lite.
2. If you are a volume shooter, a powerfeed will be beneficial for your Pro-Lite.
Along with a powerfeed, CM Support (makers of the Viewloader) have the perfect
addition to your Pro-Lite. The VL-2000 motorized hopper will erase your ball
jamming problems (make sure to use a good battery though).
3. I&I Sports has a new lightened hammer for the Pro-Lite. This will
help your cycle time but make sure to get the right lightened hammer or your
Pro-Lite will not function properly. Give I & I a call and they'll answer
any of your Pro-Lite questions.
4. The hottest recent trend in after-market accessories has been the venturi
bolt. Be careful to get the right kind of venturi bolt for your Pro-Lite.
Some venturi bolts will not fully adapt to the Pro-Lite without some sort
of an after-market powertube. Buyers beware.
5. Since the Pro-Lite traditionally has a bottom line style set-up, it is
a wise idea to convert your tanks to anti-siphon which will help in achieving
consistent velocity. If you have the bucks, change your valves on your CO2
tanks to on/off so that you will have less problems with the tank seal. Give
National Paintball Supply or SUMO a call for excellent on/off valves.
That's it for now, if you have questions about your Pro-Lite or any other
Paintball equipment don't hesitate to give me a call at (916) 482-GAME anytime.
