Accuracy:
Procedure: With a securely mounted paintgun, we fire 200+ rounds of three
different brands of paint, at four target distances. At 100 & 125 feet
the target size is 22"x22" At 50 & 75 feet the target size is reduced
to 8"x11". For this test we used Zap "Pro Series, RP Scherer Marballizer,
and Proball paint.
At a target distance of 125 feet, Zap Pro Series hit the mark at a rate of
51%. Marballizer's accuracy ratio was 64% and Proball hit the mark at a clip
of 62%. At 100 feet the ratios were 70% for Pro Series, 76% for Marballizer,
and 79% for Proball.
With the reduced target, the ratios at 75 feet were 59% for Zap Pro Series,
64% for RP Scherer Marballizer, and 65% for Proball. The accuracy ratios
improved considerably at 50 feet with Zap hitting the target at a rate of
91%, followed by Marballizer at 98% and Proball at 97%.
The overall accuracy ratios were:
Zap Pro Series 68%
RP Scherer Marballizer 75%
Proball 76%

Maintenance of Velocity shows a gun's ability to maintain it's velocity
during rapid firing.

1st shot 297 fps 10th shot 296 fps
1st shot 300 fps 10th shot 301 fps
1st shot 294 fps 25th shot 295 fps
Observations: Using a 68 cubic-inch nitrogen tank we got 755 good
shots (shots above 275 fps). We averaged about one ball break per 1100 rounds
fired with the Express Cocker. Like all Autocockers, ball breaks are easy
to clean with the Express Cocker. Simply remove the bolt, and run a squeegee
through the body and barrel of the gun.

Maintenance:
The Express Cocker requires an above average amount of maintenance, but it
is a high-tech paintgun. Like all Autocockers, timing is the key to performance,
and that will take some getting used to. Like any high performance machine,
the Express Cocker is not all that user friendly.

Versatility:
The Express Cocker is as versatile as they come. There is a huge variety
of barrels and replacement accessories for this gun. The 45 grip frame allows
you access to a plethora of pearl, rubber molded, or wood grips. The Rock
knob makes it easy to adjust your Rock regulator, and the Unireg allows you
to precisely fine tune the pressure going into the gun. The trigger is adjustable
as well. In addition, Boston Paintball will set up your Express Cocker to
your specs if you desire.

Price:
At about $1,400 the Express Cocker is one of the more expensive guns available,
but it has everything. The Express Cocker is a true tournament ready paintgun;
just add paint and play.

Conclusion:
We've evaluated several custom upgraded Autocockers in recent months and
beyond, and this is one of the better ones. We've found the Express Cocker
to be lightweight, compact, very quiet, very reliable and it has a great
trigger pull. Also, Boston Paintball uses excellent quality components on
their Cockers; brand name components like the Unireg regulator, Pro-Connect
quick disconnect, Air America high pressure system, Hogue grips, Clippard
RAM, etc. The Express Cocker is a great paintgun for the serious player.
It's another "must see" paintgun for those in the market for a tournament
grade Autococker.
