Bob Long's Ironmen
(Pro Ten-Man)
Bob Long's Ironmen: In their first season, Bob Long's Ironmen won
the 1998 NPPL Professional 10-man division finishing in the finals in each
event in 1998. In 1999 Bob's Ironmen got off to a slow start finishing eighth
in the NPPL Las Vegas event. The 'Men stepped it up a bit finishing sixth
in the NPPL Dallas Open this May (1999).
Bob Long's Ironmen formed late in 1997 after Bob's separation from the team.
In their first event (Las Vegas, 1998) they finished in third place,
which was quite an accomplishment. Bob's new team (at that time) were basically
amateur players that practiced with and against the Ironmen. Bob added
Oh Pawlak and a couple of other seasoned players and went on a roll. In
the five seasons that the NPPL has existed, Bob Long Captained teams won
the year end rankings title four times.
