APP QD Maxx Botom-Line Adapter

The QD Maxx bottom-line adapter is manufactured and distributed by Allen Paintball Products of Oakwood Village, Ohio (440-439-3222). The QD Maxx combines a bottom-line adapter with an 1/8" npt (national pipe thread) adapter, and quick disconnect. The suggested retail price of the QD Maxx is $19.95.

Design/Construction:

The one-piece QD Maxx is manufactured from cadmium coated steel. The quick disconnect and 1/8" npt adapter are molded into the unit. There are two recessed screw holes incorporated into the QD Maxx as well. Two mounting screws (allen screws) are included. The angled design of the QD Maxx allows the adapter to mount "flat" to the bottom of the grip. You can flip the adapter over if you prefer the air line to come out of the opposite side. However, the adapter will mount at a slight angle this way.

Performance/Versatility:

The QD Maxx is really designed to work in conjunction with a remote system. The most obvious set up would be to have the 1/8" npt line run to a vertical-bottle adapter, and the quick disconnect connect to your remote hose. There is no easy way to use the QD Maxx bottom-line adapter with an on-gun C02 or nitrogen set up.

Performance/Versatility rating (2)

Price:

At $19.95 retail, the QD Maxx is as inexpensive as most bottom-line adapters plus it gives you the quick disconnect.

Conclusion:

If you're looking for an easy way to connect your remote C02 or nitrogen set up to your Automag, Autococker, etc., the QD Maxx can get you there easily and inexpensively. This is a nicely made durable product at a very fair price.
