Exotic Sportz Reactor Valve
The "Reactor" On/Off Valve for the 68 Automag is distributed by Exotic Sportz
of Pinckney, Michigan. The Reactor is designed to improve the Automag's cold
weather performance, lighten the trigger pull, reduce velocity drop-off,
and increase the gun's overall performance consistency. The suggested retail
price of the Reactor is $34.95.
Design/Construction:
The Reactor consists of two stainless steel components and four o-rings.
The o-rings used are the same sizes and materials that are use in the original
on/off assembly. There are two "yellow" urethane rings, and two white Teflon
o-rings provided with the Reactor.

Performance:
We used the Reactor in a stock Automag with C02 as well as a custom Automag
using nitrogen. Here's a look at the Automag's velocity consistency using
both guns with and without the Reactor.

Observations: The Reactor valve improved the velocity consistency
by a fair margin using C02. With nitrogen, both guns performed consistently.
Velocity Drop-off test: We fired several 25-round strings using a stock Automag
with and without the Reactor and observed the following;

Price:
At just under $35, the Reactor on/off Automag valve is fairly high priced.
Put into perspective though, to improve your $500+ gun's performance, it
may be worth the expense.
