Indian Springs Rabbbit Pack

The "Rabbit Pack" butt pack, manufactured by Indian Springs Paintball of Norton, Ohio is a new ball hauler designed to hold six 140 round Indian Springs Supertube "XXL's". The Rabbit Pack is available in RealTree, woodland, Tiger Stripe, black, olive drab green, and RealTree "Advantage" patterns. The suggested retail price of the Indian Springs Rabbit Pack is $44.95.

Design/Construction:

Although the Rabbit Pack butt pack is designed for the small, fast player-types, it works equally for bigger players too. The Rabbit Pack is only 12-inches wide and 16-inches long, and is placed completely behind even the smallest players.

The Rabbit Pack is configured with four pouches placed vertically and two pouches placed in the horizontal position above (one opens from the left side, one from the right). Each of the pouches are double stitched to the soft canvas-type backing and have soft Velcro closures. There are two "hook and loop" Velcro belts incorporated into the Rabbit Pack. The belts strap around your chest and waist and holds the pack securely to your body.

Performance/Versatility:

The Indian Springs Rabbit Pack is designed for the Supertube XXL's which in reality hold about 127 rounds each. This pack gives you the ability to hold about 760 rounds plus whatever you're carrying in your hopper. It is by far the smallest harness/butt pack we have seen compared to amount of paint you can carry.

We field tested the Rabbit Pack system for three weeks and found it to be very comfortable. The belt straps hold the harness tightly in place while running, crawling, etc. The four vertical pouches open from the bottom which makes removing the tubes easier than most. The two upper pouches are a bit more difficult to get to, but not impossible. We found it is best to remove the top two tubes when you get to your initial position on the field. That's usually where you shoot the most paint from anyway.

We also found that it is easiest to put the Rabbit Pack on before you put the loaders in. This way you don't have to deal with the weight of the full loaders when you're trying to secure the belts.

Price:

At a suggested retail price of $44.95, the Rabbit Pack is priced on the lower end of the harness spectrum. For an additional $12.00, you can purchase the Rabbit Pack harness with six 140-round loaders.

Conclusion:

The Rabbit Pack butt pack is one of the most well thought-out packs available. Although it is designed for small, fast players, the Rabbit Pack harness worked well on everyone that tried it. The Rabbit Pack harness is well made, inexpensive, and gives you the ability to carry more paint in less space than we've seen before.
