Menace Bolt for the Autococker
The Menace bolt for the Autococker is manufactured by Marino Engineering
and distributed by Team Menace Products of Ypsilanti, Michigan (313.487.7715).
This new lightweight bolt carries a suggested retail price of $54.95
Design/Construction:
The Menace bolt's main body is manufactured from Delrin and weighs less than
an ounce (really). Located inside the face of the bolt there is a metal
(aluminum) insert which is used to direct airflow. This gives sort of a venturi
affect. The Menace bolt has two o-rings with the rear one being a "double
seal" o-ring. Two extra o-rings are provided with the Menace bolt.

Performance:
We used the Menace bolt in both a stock Autococker (C02) and a custom
‘Cocker (nitrogen). Using the stock Autococker we chronographed in at
an average velocity of 284 fps. With the Menace bolt in place on the same
gun, the velocity increased to an average of 288 fps. This will increase
the C02 efficiency compared to the stock bolt. We repeated the same test
using the custom Autococker with both the stock bolt and the Menace bolt
and found similar results (285 fps average with the stock bolt, and 289 fps
with the Menace bolt using nitrogen).
We should also point out that the light-weight design will not work the
pneumatics of the Autococker as hard as if a heavier material was used. We
also noticed less C02 blow-back using the Menace bolt compared to the stock
bolt.

Price:
At $54.95 the Menace bolt is one of the more expensive bolts available for
the Autococker. Again, a $50+ aftermarket product that works is not a lot
of money to spend when you consider the paintgun you're upgrading can be
worth as much as $800-$1000.

Conclusion:
The Menace bolt for the Autococker is a unique well-made product. It is
expensive, so it may not be for everyone. For the tricked-out Autococker
user, this bolt is definitely worth looking at.
