Bob Long Spyder Vacuum Chamber
The Bob Long Cyclone Vacuum Chamber for the Spyder is designed to allow you
to run your Spyder on low pressure, giving you better cold weather performance.
The Cyclone Vacuum Chamber retails for $24.95.
Design/Construction:
The Cyclone Vacuum Chamber is manufactured from aluminum and weighs just
under one ounce. The Vacuum Chamber is four inches in length and contains
one o-ring. To install the Cyclone Vacuum Chamber, simply remove the cup
seal plug and replace it with the Cyclone Vacuum Chamber.
The design of the Cyclone Vacuum Chamber is simple and the machining is well
done.

Observations: Using the Cyclone Vacuum Chamber we observed slightly
improved velocity consistency compared to the stock Spyder. Since the Cyclone
Vacuum Chamber allows the Spyder to work on lower pressure, expect to get
a few less shots per tank fill using C02 or nitrogen. The up side here is
that using the Cyclone Chamber, the paintball is "pushed" rather than hit
with gas which will allow you to shoot a more fragile paintball. You will
also get improved cold weather performance using the Cyclone Vacuum Chamber
with C02.
Performance/Versatility rating (3)
Price:
At $24.95, the Cyclone Vacuum Chamber is priced slightly higher than most
of the other low pressure Spyder chambers. However, this is one of the larger
low pressure chambers available for the Spyder. The Cyclone Vacuum Chamber
is a very good value.

Conclusion:
If you're looking to lower the working pressure of your Spyder, or to get
a bit more consistent velocity give the Cyclone Vacuum Chamber a look.
